Dr Hiroki Nakatani is ERIA's Senior Advisor to the President on Healthcare Service. With over 40 years as a veteran public health specialist, Dr. Nakatani's career spans pivotal roles. He held academic positions as Visiting Professor at Keio University School of Medicine and Invited Professor at Osaka University Post Graduate School of Medicine. Dr. Nakatani's influence extends globally, including leadership roles as Chair of the Executive Board of WHO（2020-2021） and presently, Chair of the Board of Directors at the Global Health Innovative Technology Fund (GHIT Fund). His remarkable international journey includes pivotal periods at WHO Headquarters, culminating as Assistant Director-General, overseeing the largest technical cluster in charge of HIV, Tuberculosis, Malaria, and Neglected Tropical Diseases. Dr. Nakatani's dedication to health policy, technology, and international collaboration has significantly impacted global health. He earned his MD from Keio University School of Medicine, MHPEd from the University of New South Wales, and PhD from Keio University.
